สังฆทาน หมายถึง การถวายทานแด่คณะสงฆ์โดยไม่ระบุเจาะจงพระรูปใดรูปหนึ่ง ถือเป็นการบำรุงพระพุทธศาสนาโดยรวม ซึ่งมีอานิสงส์สูงมาก เพราะไม่ได้จำกัดผลบุญไว้เพียงคนเดียว แต่ขยายไปยังคณะสงฆ์ทั้งหมด

ผลบุญที่ได้รับบริสุทธิ์และยิ่งใหญ่: เนื่องจากถวายแด่คณะสงฆ์โดยไม่เลือกเจาะจง ทำให้จิตใจของผู้ถวายบริสุทธิ์ อานิสงส์ที่ได้รับจึงยิ่งใหญ่และบริสุทธิ์                                 

ชีวิตเจริญรุ่งเรือง: การถวายทานเพื่อบำรุงพระพุทธศาสนาจะส่งผลให้ผู้ถวายมีความสุข พบเจอสิ่งดี ๆ และไม่ขาดแคลนปัจจัยสี่                                                             

แคล้วคลาดปลอดภัย: อานุภาพแห่งบุญช่วยคุ้มครองให้ผู้ถวายปลอดภัยจากภัยอันตรายและอุปสรรคต่าง ๆ                                                                                             

สุขภาพแข็งแรง: การบำรุงธาตุขันธ์ของพระสงฆ์ด้วยปัจจัยในสังฆทาน เชื่อว่าจะทำให้ผู้ถวายมีสุขภาพแข็งแรง ปราศจากโรคภัย

มีบริวารที่ดี: การช่วยเหลือและอุปถัมภ์พระสงฆ์ส่งผลให้มีบริวารดี มีคนช่วยเหลือ และเป็นที่รักของผู้อื่น

ได้ดวงตาเห็นธรรม: การร่วมบำรุงพระศาสนาส่งผลให้ผู้ถวายมีสติปัญญาเฉลียวฉลาด เข้าใจหลักธรรมลึกซึ้ง

 Merits of Offering Sangha Dana

Sangha Dana refers to making offerings to the monastic community as a whole, without specifying any particular monk. It is regarded as a way of supporting Buddhism collectively and is considered highly meritorious, since the merit gained is not limited to one recipient but extends to the entire Sangha.

A Buddha image symbolizes the Lord Buddha, serving as an object of devotion and remembrance (Buddhānussati) for Buddhists. Offering a Buddha image is considered a great act of merit, as it helps preserve and propagate the Buddhist faith.
